Affordable Last Minute Gift Ideas

Do you find yourself looking for stocking stuffers or small gifts to exchange with your girlfriends? I've comprised a list that covers something for everyone...all for under $50! I selected items that I have and love...or that I wouldn't mind having in my own stocking!

(click on pictures for full product details)

Everyone loves nail polish! I was really impressed with the Butter and Deborah Lippmann gift sets! The colors are neutral, so it's a safe bet that the receiver will truly like the sets.

I'm always looking for an interesting coffee table book. I look for books that I would be drawn to, if I were sitting on the sofa in someone else's home.

When I happened upon the dog ornament I almost lost it. You know how much we love our Goldendoodle Ollie. This ornament looks just like him. I'm sure it was intended to be a Golden Retriever...Nonetheless, I would proudly hang this ornament on my tree. I think gifting someone an ornament is personal and sentimental. I have ornaments from friends and family that I'll treasure for a lifetime.

Yes, the Anthro Initial Mug is back! Don't kick it to the curb yet (ever). I drink out of mine all the time and who doesn't love an item with their initial on it. There is a reason it is such a popular item. It's cute (on sale) AND functional.

I'm an avocado junkie...chances are there are many of you who are as well...or have friends/family who are addicted. A "cuber"!!! I almost gasped when I saw it. Laugh all you want...I know a lot of people would be VERY happy to receive that gadget as a gift.

My feet are always cold. Those little sock slippers are adorable...perfect for teen girls too!

When we entertain, I always have to tell people what cheeses I have on the cheese board. The labels I've selected are perfect! Hint...hint....It's an odd gift, but if you know a hostess with the mostess, I promise she will appreciate owning these.

For those preppy girls out there, I've never been let down by Vineyard Vines tees! They are great for running errands and so soft!

I know a lot of women who love going to the Dry Bar for a blowout.  The travel set I selected is perfect for those who are always on the go and can't get to the bar!

Speaking of travel...I can really appreciate a good monogrammed luggage tag. Everyone needs one and they are certainly better than the ones that come with your luggage. Again, personalized shows you put some thought into the gift.

Last year the glitter Kate Spade glitter studs were all the rage. I still love mine and adore the gold! You can wear them with virtually anything. Good alternative to your pearls or diamond studs.

I really love tassel key fobs and get a lot of compliments on the pink one that I ordered from Etsy.  Obviously, you won't have time to get one from overseas (my seller was in Europe), but there are many that are ready to be shipped!  I also know that Target is carrying them right now!

Hair ties...They disappear constantly. I think they are hanging out with all of our single socks! Never met a women who didn't like to pull her hair up!

My blanket scarves runneth over.  Have a drab outfit...a scarf instantly transforms your look. These are super affordable, cute and warm. I don't see the scarf craze going anywhere anytime soon. Our weather has been unseasonably warm. In the mid-70's in December. My scarves are screaming..."Wear us Ang....wear us!" Oh scarves I wish I could....I wish I could....

Finally, I found an adorable and affordable initial necklace.  Great for layering or wearing alone...I promise the recipient won't be disappointed!

Hope I've given you some ideas for your friends and family.  Sometimes gift giving can be difficult. You want to show you care, and gift something that the person will love....avoiding the dreaded re-gifting that occurs constantly!

Happy Holidays!!

  1. So many great ideas! I love those hair ties! I actually discovered a week ago that Hobby Lobby has rolls of the elastic and you can make your own. There's so many different colors and patterns!

  2. My daughter bought me the DryBar gift set and it's great. I have the brush in my travel bag ready to go at all times but it would be great to keep in your car for touch ups.
