Call Me Ang: T&C Love

T&C Love

As I sit here looking at the frost on our yard, I'm yearning for Summer temperatures. We live in a coastal city, and though we have easy access to the beach, it doesn't quite live up to our family's favorite vacation spot.

Turks and Caicos is heaven on earth to me.  I've been to countless Caribbean locations (in-fact, I met my husband in Montego Bay), but we keep going back to Grace Bay. No other place compares. The water is perfection, the people are friendly and we feel safe on the island.

I've always wanted to travel to the Tahitian Islands and the Seychelles. I'm quite certain, as tropical vacations go, both would take the cake...However, Turks and Caicos is close to the East Coast and convenient.

The truth is, family vacations are good for the soul.  You bond. You laugh (a lot) and smile. You create memories that will last a lifetime. It's a way to leave all your day to day troubles at home, and connect.

The great thing is, you don't have to hop on a plane and fly across the world to reconnect. A road trip to visit extended family (which is our plan this Summer), a camping trip, or even a stay-cation is an excellent way to spend time with your family. The entire point is to experience something new and to relish in quality time with one another.

Here are some of my favorite photos from our trip to Turks and Caicos last year:
