Call Me Ang: Battle of the Nudes

Battle of the Nudes

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

Always on the hunt for the perfect nude nail polish, I have collected quite a few shades.  I decided to put each to the test.  While I realize that these colors will look different on others, this will give you a good idea of what to expect. Please keep in mind, I did two quick coats over each nail.

Essie, OPI, Nude Nailpolish, Best
Fingers Left to Right (series of five photos above): Topless and Barefoot | Cocktails and Coconuts
Au Natural | Sand Tropez | Vanity Fairest (which seemed more like a sheer top coat it is so light - which is why it is not pictured on my thumb)

Fingers Left to Right: Chinchilly (which isn't as neutral or nude as I thought it might be on my skin tone), Dulce de Leche  (I had high hopes for this one but it would take four coats to achieve desired color) Salmon Sand (has a strong pink tone, but it can definitely be considered a nude, on the right skin tone)
and the Winner is..........

This color has a hint of sparkle and you can achieve the color you see in the bottle, by applying two coats. I truly love this color!

If you have a favorite nude polish, please let me know in the comment section!

  1. Looks like I need to go pick up C & C! I have the Sand Tropez and wear that one on my toes a lot lately. Also love Chinchilly on you! Great post! xo

    1. Thank you! I'm a big Chinchilly fan...just thought it was more neutral...until I placed it up against a true nude polish. :) Sand Tropez is a favorite as well!

  2. I'm very odd and do not wear nudes. If I'm taking the time to paint my nails, I want people to see it! Pink, navy, red, gold, etc...

    1. I am like that about my toes! I love having bright toes.
